Kenya Airways and Virgin Atlantic, both part of the SkyTeam Airline Alliance, are excited to announce their new partnership.
Virgin Atlantic will now offer its passengers access to Kenya Airways’ flights to London, making it easier to connect to Kenya Airways’ wide range of destinations across Africa and beyond. At the same time, Kenya Airways will place its code on Virgin Atlantic flights to popular Caribbean spots like the Bahamas, Barbados, and Grenada, opening up exciting travel opportunities for customers of both airlines.
Julius Thairu, Chief Commercial and Customer Officer of Kenya Airways, said, “We’re thrilled to start this exciting partnership with Virgin Atlantic. Together, we aim to improve our customers’ travel experience by offering more choices, convenience, and seamless connections to key destinations worldwide.”
Juha Jarvinen, Chief Commercial Officer at Virgin Atlantic, added, “We’re excited to team up with Kenya Airways. Being part of the SkyTeam alliance means our customers can expect smooth travel experiences and enjoy more benefits, including for our Sky Priority members.”
The partnership will also bring added benefits for members of Kenya Airways’ frequent flyer program Asante Rewards, and Virgin Atlantic’s frequent flyer program, Flying Club. Asante Rewards members can earn miles on Virgin Atlantic flights, while Flying Club members can do the same on Kenya Airways flights.
This collaboration represents a significant step forward for both airlines, demonstrating their commitment to improving connectivity and convenience for travelers worldwide.
